My list:
1. Shaq (2000 NBA Finals):
He dominated the Pacers the entire series and had 3 40 point games and 2 20 rebound games.
Game 1: 43pts, 19rebs, 4ast, 3blk
Game 2: 40pts, 24rebs, 4ast, 3blk, LOL, is this a video game?
Game 4: 36pts and 21rebs.
Game 6: 41pts and 12rebs
Series averages: 38ppg, 16.6rpg, 2.8apg, 2.2bpg
2. Tim Duncan (2003 NBA Finals):
In the final deciding game of the series Duncan had a near quadruple double (21pts, 20rebs, 10ast, 8blks)
Game 1: 32pts, 20rebs, 6ast, 7blks
He did all this against Mutombo and Kenyon Martin in the paint.
Series averages: 24.2ppg, 17rpg, 5.3apg, 5.3bpg
3. Dwayne Wade (2006 NBA Finals):
His team trailed 0-2 and by 16 points in the 4th quarter of game 3 and he made a great comeback and was the best player in that series. He had 2 40 point games I believe.
Series averages: 34.7ppg, 7.8rpg, and the highest efficiency rating in the finals with a 33.8PER.
4. Dirk Nowitzki (2006 Western semi-finals):
In this series Dirk had to go up against the best defender in Bruce Bowen and the Spurs great defense in their primes. Dirk sprained his ankle in game 3 of this series and went on to average 30.1ppg and 13.3rpg the rest of the series. In game 7 with his teams season on the line down by 3 he made the 3 point play to send the game to OT and win.
Game 6: 26pts and 21rebs
Game 7: 37pts and 15rebs
Series averages: 27.1ppg, 13.3rpg
5. Allen Iverson (2001 Eastern semis):
Iverson scored 50 twice in that series.
Game 2: 54pts, 4ast
Game 5: 52pts, 7ast
Series averages: 33.7ppg, 6.9apg, 3.1spg (He is #5 because he shot jacked for his points and had a low %).

1.Dwyane Wade (2006 NBA Finals)
2.Shaq (2000 NBA Finals)
3.Tim Duncan (2003 NBA Finals)
4.Dirk Nowitzki (2006 Western Semi-Finals)
5.Kobe Bryant (2010 Western Conference Finals)
@ Bubba, thanks.
Also I know which one your talking about. In 2005 Amar’e averaged 37 points against the Spurs in the western finals. I would put that as an honorable mention.
I put Duncan’s higher than Wade’s because he went up against better defenders and disrupted the Nets offense with his defense in the paint. Plus the refs gave Wade too many calls in that series.
1. Dwyane Wade
Took his team down 2-0. Down by 13 with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter of game 3. And they won the next 4.
34 PPG
8 RPG
4 APG
2. Shaq
3. Timmy
4. A.I.
5. Dirk
The ones that immediately came to mind for me were Wade’s performance in the 06 Finals and James’ performance in the 07 Eastern finals simply because of Game 5 when he scored 48 points and carried his team to the Finals, though that Shaq series was just dominating
i agree you were totally right. one other good one is lebron who carried the cavs against the pistons. it was an OT game. but i think duncan’s should be number 1. almsot averaging a quadruple double is amazing.i’ve never seen anyone do that before
cool list. It is to late and I do not feel like looking up enough stats to come up with other players. I think that Amare had one great one, but I do not remember the year.
thanks for the good read!
Edit- I think Duncan was almost as good in that one?
dwayne wade’s finals domination of my mavs..he was just runnin’ around every defender the mavs put on him.and they beat the mavs 4 straight times including the clincher in dallas.he just dominated that series.
D-Wade’s game 3 was the best!
I think you got the top 5 locked.
I can only add a few to the ones you already have;
– Jason Kidd 2006-07 Playoffs – Became only the 2nd player in NBA history to average a triple double for an entire post season (12 games) 14.6ppg, 10.9rpg, 10.9apg.
– Lebron James 2008-09 – 35.4ppg, 9.1rpg, 7.3apg (14 games)
– Rajon Rondo 2008-09 – Nearly became the 3rd player in NBA history to average a post season triple double (14 games) 16.9ppg, 9.7rpg, 9.8apg
