Please don’t say wilt chamberlain, kareem, or bill Russell, these guys played back in the day when there was no 3 in the key, nor goal-tending, yes they were good but they did not play with todays rules, except for kareem, but I believe shaq would have dominated and overpowered him.
Also, I don’t want to hear arguments against this statement of fact, just give me your list.

You know, teams that I get sleepy just watching them play. I see the Magic being very “boring” without Dwight. Dwight is the ONLY reason why I NEVER get sleep when I watch the Magic.
BQ: What will you remember MOST about Chris Paul when he was with the Hornets?

Although there have been many big 3’s in the past and, most of them consist/consisted of a core of players who had/havve similar skill-sets. For example, the Big 3 in Miami right now consists of two players who need the ball in their hands at all times, Wade and Lebron, while the other piece of their big 3, Chris Bosh, is not the ideal big-bruiser one would expect in a PF. Basically, we’re dealing with 3 finesse players, although Lebron’s skill-set makes him more of just a finesse player.
As much as I love OKC’s trio, their three players are 3 wingmen whose games are too similar to that of each other. Not to mention, they’re all players who, in order to be effective, need the ball in their hands for a long time. Durant, like most great scorers, is at his best when he’s given the autonomy to be creative, toying with his defender as the shot-clock is counting down, something he can’t do because of Westbrook equally needs the rock in his hand. As much as I love Westbrook, who’s my 2nd favorite player in the league, his style of play doesn’t compliment that of Durant. Is there anything g wrong with Westbrook’s style of player? No. I just think that he’s better off on a team where he’s the main scorer and won’t get scrutinized for being himself. As for Harden, while he’s an outside shooter, he’s not the type of outside shooter Ray Allen is, in that he doesn’t move well without the ball and hasn’t demonstrated that he can come off screens and shoot the ball within a split-second of catching it. Harden, Westbrook, and Durant are all great players in their own right. As one collective unit, however, they’re just not sexy. Hypothetically speaking, if the Thunder had a great facilitating PG, like, say, Nash or Rondo, I think the trio would mesh better together.
Now, as for the Lakers big-3, when the game plan is adhered to and executed, it’s a thing of beauty. While Kobe is doing his usual thing, being a great scorer (yes, I’m aware of his pitfalls as well), Bynum is a monster in the paint, giving Kobe the option to dump it to him in the middle with confidence. When Bynum is on, there’s no better post player in the League. As such, defenses tend to collapse toward the paint. In doing so, it leaves the last of the Big 3, Pau Gasol, open for a 15-foot midrange jump shot, a shot he can make in his sleep. What makes this big 3 so great is the fact that Bynum and Gasol don’t need the ball in their hands at all time; rather, they’re more comfortable being the 2nd or 3rd option player. Also, the fact that Gasol is comfortable working outside the paint stretches the defense.
For the record, because Bynum gets a bad rap for being selfish and immature, I think people overlook the fact that he’s unselfish in that he’s not constantly demanding the ball and being the 25ppg guy that he has the potential to be.
**I think the 2007-2008 Celtic team had a phenomenal Big 3, as was the Big 3 of Bird, Parrish, and McHale.I don’t like the Bulls trio of Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman, mainly because they didn’t have an inside presence, as Rodman was known more of being a Ben Wallace-type player.

DEAR KOBE BRYANT,
All my life, I hated you. I absolutely despised you. I chose everybody over you. I punched a hole in my wall when Ron Artest got the buzzer beater against the Suns in the playoffs 2 years ago. I think the Lakers are the worst franchise in the history of sports. BUT, you are my only hope to make sure KD does not get this scoring title. As much as I love LeBron, he is being selfish by passing the ball more and letting Wade score more. Also, I have bought at least 2 pairs of all of your shoes since the Kobe 4’s. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, help this black boy from Seattle and score 35+ in this last game on Thursday..
