In my book the only superstars right now are Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Durant, Dirk, D. Rose, CP3, Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin, Kevin Love. If these guys have an average cast around them they can get to the playoffs and get out of the first round. Melo has never been able to really take a team on his back. This year is the first year he has played without Billups and his team is sh1t.

Carmelo Anthony is overrated, he won’t win a title as the #1 scoring option which is why I think he should have gone to Chicago!
I wouldn’t call Blake Griffin or Kevin Love superstars. Neither are able to take over games and completely dominate. Neither of their teams have made the playoffs where superstars are born in some regard. So you can’t include people who haven’t been in the league very long because they haven’t proven anything. Blake and Love are all stars at best. As for the rest, I agree.
Melo plays no defense. A superstar to me is a defensive presence as well as offensive.
I have to agree with the comment above, Lebron & Wade are more overrated.
- No one said Melo would win the Championship this year or last year.
- No one said Melo would lead his team to 66-0.
- Melo didn’t come to NY saying he’s going to win a crazy amount of Championships.
- Lebron & Wade gets Jordan comparison way too early in their careers, so far after almost 9 seasons they still don’t come anywhere near Jordan stature and never will playing along side each other. Lebron & Wade playing besides each other with Bosh is like Jordan grabbing Reggie Miller & Karl Malone for a run. NO ONE WOULD BE AS IMPRESSED AS THEY ARE WITH JORDAN.
Everybody expects Melo to score and that’s what he’s doing. He’s just not helping his team in any other way.
^^^Typical LeBron hater. The question is about Melo but he still feels the need to answer using LeBron. Any ways I don’t think Melo is overrated. It’s just the defensive part of his game that needs to improve and also chemistry with teammates. Believe me, I’d want Melo on my team in a heartbeat.
Well clearly lebron and wade are overrated because they were suppose to win the championship last by a far. But they didn’t. You know why? Because they are overrated. Not so much wade but lebron is a joke!
