How Is Kobe Bryant Not The Greatest Basketball Player In Everyone’s Minds?

By NBA Rumors Posted in: Kobe Bryant

The Black Mamba, Kobe Bean Bryant.
Standing at 6′6, 205lbs, he has career averages of 45% shooting with 25.3 ppg, 4.7 apg, 5.3 rpg, 1.5 spg, not counting this season.
5-Time NBA Champion, 1-Time MVP, 2-Time Finals MVP, and is going to be a 14-Time All Star come February 26th.
He was also the Slam Dunk Champion and 2-Time NBA Scoring Leader.
And he’s still going after 15 seasons and at 33 years of age.
Kobe Bryant is the best basketball player in the NBA and will be until he retires.
He even has his own KobeSystem.
Any pointless arguments?

  1. Break it down Clown Says

Let the Clown break it down,
Your wearing a Kobe Bryant Jersey tells me that you cannot fairly judge the other talent out there and the other talent that played in the past
The Clown agree that Kobe is the greatest active player in the game today and will be the greatest active player until he retires but most people will tell you also that Kobe is not the best player in the game today. Most casual observer and people who played the game professionally like Barkley, Magic, Bird and Jerry West pretty much say that the best player today is Lebron James. The people who usually do not acknowledge James as the best are Kobe fans or people who hate Lebron.
Now as far as the greatest ever then you put Kobe accomplishment next to Jordan’s accomplishment and it is not even close.
    Jordan highest scoring average
    Jordan highest playoff scoring average
    Jordan 5 times league mvp
    Jordan 6 times finals mvp
Jordan 6 rings and never lost in the finals
Jordan defensive player of the year
Jordan 2 times slam dunk champion
    Jordan 10 times scoring champion
    Jordan rookie of the year
Jordan all NBA this and all NBA that
Jordan all defensive team this and all defensive team that
Jordan Judge as the century #1 athlete
    College
Jordan NCAA college player of the year
    Jordan NCAA champion
If you put this side by side with Kobe accomplishment it is not even close.
So in the Clown mind do not put up stats to make your argument strong when someone else can put up stats that put your stats to shame
The Clown just broke it down
The Clown just saw that you meant currently. I am not going to argue with you who is the best because there is no way to settle this argument because if there was then we would not see the daily ” who better Lebron or kobe” that we see every day at least 20 times a day. But like I say, according to your word that Kobe will be the best until he retires and lets say that Kobe retires when he is 40 will he still be the best according to you at forty or are you just a bias Kobe fan who will never acknowledge that anyone can be better than kobe
The Clown once again broke it down

  2. AFB64 Says

Yall say Ray Allen is the best 3PT shooter, he is. Let me remind you that KB8 broke the record for most three pointers in a single game against the Seattle Sonics. No question, Kobe is definitely second behind Jordan for the best player in Basketball History.

The NBA is followed by the younger generation. Well mostly anyway. Currenty, I think everyone has to agree, Kobe isn’t playing fantastic. And the younger gen havn’t seen Kobe in his prime or whatever. *just an observation

  6. HeelYea Says

Dwyane Wade could have won 5 rings with the same supporting cast Kobe has had…and he would have played better in the finals too.

  18. avid Says

Kobe wasn’t the main component to the lakers 1st 3 championship…and the year after shaq got traded to miami…why couldn’t he lead the lakers into the playoffs? He had lamar/caron…even though caron ws still young…he’s always shown potential…isn’t somebody great suppose to lead their teams to victories? Regardless who they have…jordan made everybody better…
Well there was no point of adding his championship accolades in your paragraph….kobe is a all around great…but number 2? Nah
