McGrady just signed a 1 year deal with the pistons what happen if he show that he can still play or if he did like the last season. What will be his future
Yes its a one year deal.
Detroit will move either Hamilton or Prince before the start of next season. It’s more likely the Pistons will move Prince, who is entering the last year of his contract.

Boy how Joe Dumars has fallen these past three years or so. Detroit is one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference and need a total over-haul; they surely didn’t need to bring in an oft-injured, beyond his prime team killer like McGrady.
With questionable moves such as bringing in Allen Iverson, the no-defense Charlie Vilanueva, and Ben Gordon who needs 40 shots a night to be productive. This team is going nowhere.
Consider this Joe Dumars last year as Pistons GM. The city is a huge basketball town, and one of the top team’s attendance wise, even when they lose — they won’t stand for another year of this. Even if Joe is a legend in Detroit basketball.
Michael (Detroit Pistons!) Says
I have to admit I’m a bit puzzled by them signing him. They just came off one of the most injury plagued seasons in their history and they sign the most injury plagued player in the league. Several teams have passed on McGrady citing that his movement was not adequate enough for him to play a significant amount of minutes and be effective. The Pistons have got to stop signing aging, washed up players.
The only reason I can think of is that they hope for McGrady to make a comeback much like Antonio McDyess did. Arnie Kander and Mike Abdenour are well known for their magical touch with injuries. Even after Grant Hill left Detroit he continued seeing the doctors here rather than in Orlando. So, maybe they’re hoping he can add some depth to their bench and make a similar comeback. But in my opinion McGrady is not going to set any records.
My guess now is that Joe Dumars will be trading both Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince, who by the way are Detroit’s two most consistent players. Prince will most likely be gone for sure since his contract is up and they now have a logjam at the SF and SG spots.

Well he might start but with Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva starting at his spot, he might have to be a bench player. But this is probably the last team that Tracy has a chance to prove with that he can still play, this has to be his breakout season.

With T-Mac, Ben Wallace, Tayshaun Prince, and Rodney Stuckey, I think they a competitors in the East now.
In think T-Mac is just a one-year player, this could be his last year to make a difference. His next 3 years after this one will just be garbage.

I think he will start off scoring then he’s going to pull something and be out for a while. Just like every other team he has been.

It will be just as much of a disaster as when AI played on the team.
